Story
Back in September 2024 I completed 10k steps a day for Mind. This May I’m setting myself a challenge: 5K every day. 🏃♂️
Working shifts can make it really difficult to keep a routine and as an autistic individual, I often become drained and tired very quickly. I want to push myself to prioritise my wellbeing and live a balanced lifestyle.
I’m also doing this because in the UK someone dies from suicide every 90 minutes. A few years ago, I nearly became one of those statistics. Over the last three years I’ve worked hard on myself to make sure I’m not living a miserable life anymore.
May will be a busy month for me- I’ll be working shifts for the first half and then travelling to Thailand for the last two weeks but that’s exactly why I want to do this. Whether it’s before work, after work or exploring somewhere new, I’m determined to fit those 5Ks in. 🏃♀️
For me this challenge isn’t just about fitness, it’s about continuing to build a healthier lifestyle because a healthy body helps create a healthier mind. 🧠
