During September 2010 I am cycling from Canterbury to Rome along the Via Francigena to raise money for the work of SCIAF.
I arrived in Rome on Sunday 26th September having covered 1185 miles through England, France, Switzerland, and over the Alps into Italy.
Thank you for all your support and the donations that you have made already. You can still sponsor me if you'd like to with all the money raised going to SCIAF, Scotland's Aid Agency. They work in over 16 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America, to help some of the poorest people in the world to work their way out of poverty.
SCIAF is currently working with Caritas agencies on the ground in Pakistan to provide emergency supplies of food, water and hygiene kits to people displaced by the massive floods.
I am meeting all my own expenses for the trip so, if you are able to sponsor me, you can be assured that every penny you donate will go directly to support the work of SCIAF. My son in law, Donald, is joining me on the Italian section of the journey and you can sponsor him here too.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to SCIAFand make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate.
