Story

Hello
Thanks for taking the time to read this page.....

We have decided to pool together & try to raise funds for Fresh Start Foundation (www.fsfgambia.org).  The charity supports vulnerable children & communities in The Gambia (ranked 160th poorest countries in the world out of 173) with access to education, healthcare provisions, clean water, food & sanitation.

Ronan has been training for his first ever marathon (and last!) in Brighton on 18/04/2010. It's certainly been a challenge training for this as he had never raced more than 5km before! This will be a very special event as it is the first marathon to be held in Brighton.

Rita is going to work as a medical volunteer with Fresh Start Foundation in early April for 2 weeks. Rita will be working in a rural health clinic which is accessed by 14,100 people in 36 nearby villages. It is normally run by a single nurse and midwife. Rita will be the only doctor there!!  Any support will go a long way.  For example, it costs the charity only £8.25 to feed the whole school of 550 children for lunch!

We would be so grateful for your support.
