Saving Lives Through Your Support. Each life-saving mission costs £3,500 and on average, we are called to at least five emergencies everyday. It is only thanks to the generosity of the communities that we serve that we are able keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.

Story

On 25th January, Ronnie's (aka Richard's) youngest son, Ivo, was knocked down by a bus on a semi-pedestrianised street in Winchester. The actions of a passing doctor, the fast response of the paramedics and the incredible care and dedication of all the staff in Southampton's paediatric trauma unit undoubtedly saved his life and laid the foundation for him, in time, to make a complete recovery. One vital part of that incredible chain of treatment was the Air Ambulance. It ensured that Ivo reached Southampton incredibly quickly and in as smooth a manner as possible - rather important when it comes to serious head injuries. Unlike the other constituents of that incredible group, however, the air ambulance service is solely funded by the community receiving no government funding. It is only the hard work, generosity and commitment of its various supporters that allows it to operate and save lives.

Therefore, to raise money for this wonderful ause we are going to complete 3 ironman duathlons in 5 days, with each day to include 100 miles of cycling and a marathon - but each marathon will incorporate the 3 highest peaks in Britain (Wed 26th May: Ben Nevis, Fri 28th May: Scafell Pike, Sun 30th May: Snowdon).
