Please help Rookery Manor staff to raise money for our local air ambulance

Tough Mudder 5K Bristol - Clifton Downs · 19 May 2018 ·
As part of our commitment to supporting local charities,
Rookery Manor have decided to participate in the Tough Mudder 5K Challenge on Friday 18th May in Bristol to raise funds for the Dorset and
Somerset Air Ambulance.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is a registered charity, established to provide relief from sickness and injury for the people of Dorset and Somerset, by the provision of an air ambulance.
They receive no direct funding from the Government or the National Lottery and rely on the generosity of the public for support. Their operational costs are over £2.5 million a year and the approximate cost per mission is £3,000.
Since their launch in 2000 they have flown more than 12,000
missions. As part of the normal ‘999’ emergency process by a dedicated
Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) desk located at Ambulance Control (paid for by the South West Air Ambulance Charities) they can attend up to eight or nine incidents in a single day.
This charity has been chosen by Rookery Manor staff and by
fundraising we hope to be able to help them continue the amazing work they do.
The Tough Mudder challenge is a 5K run with a selection of
obstacles throughout the course which may or may not be covered in mud, water and sand!
Our team “Rookery Rivals” is made up of 15 staff who are
aged between 16 and 70 and with varying degrees of fitness this could be very interesting to watch.
We are aiming to raise a grand total of £5000! Please help us raise funds for this amazing charity by sponsoring us to complete the challenge.
