Story
There's something exhilarating about setting off on two wheels with two close friends with not much more than an end destination and a time period in mind. In our case, we had decided to cycle Gibraltar and catch a glimpse of Morroco. A journey, similarly undertaken by Oli's uncle Matt in 2013. Unfortunately due to COVID developments we've created a safer route through France, Corsica and Sardinia, which will leave us closer to Africa than anywhere in mainland Europe.
We hope to raise money for the Phyliss Tuckwell Hospice in memory of Mathew Ball. Sadly Matt passed away of stomach cancer and was looked after very well by the hospice in his last few weeks. It seems fitting to try and raise some money for this cause after using Matts ride as the original inspiration for our own adventure. I'm sure Uncle Matty would love the idea of us doing this ride, carrying on his passions in his stead.
