Story
- Mustapha is a young Gambian man of 24 years with his whole life ahead of him. Two years ago he started having severe headaches. Gradually his eyesight went . He was seen by doctors in The Gambia who were able to give him a CT scan and they diagnosed hydrocephalus (water on the brain) They said he needed an MRI scan and immediate surgery abroad to restore Mustapha's sight. Mustapha is lucky to have a very determined sister who has tried everything in her power to find funding for treatment for her brother and she has written to everyone she could think of who might be able to help. She finally heard about the Sambel Kunda Clinic and bought a letter to us. We sent him immediately to Dakar for an MRI scan and once again the recommendation was for surgical intervention abroad.
- Mustapha has been sitting for two years enduring severe headaches, knowing that if he had received timely surgery his eye sight could have been saved but there were no funds available. We would like to try and help him. It is a huge amount of money to raise, but where there is a will, there is a way and we will do everything we can to make sure he has his treatment. Please help if you can "you have not lived today unless you have done something for someone who can never repay you - John Bunyan"
