Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page:
I am doing the walk on 20 September for a number of reasons. First of all to remember my lovely Aunty Joan who had Alzheimer's, my Aunty Muriel and for my some of my friends who have relatives suffering with this illness. I also have a neighbour who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. The illness does not discriminate as to who will succumb to it.
I would like to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society so that it can continue to offer support to those people suffering from Alzheimer's, their carers and do vital research to try and stop this disease in its tracks. All support will be greatly appreciated.
Some may know that I love singing as did my Aunty Joan. The Alzheimer's Society run a great project called Singing for the Brain which helps those with Alzheimer's and their carers immensely. It would be great if this service could be offered to more people.
