Last year was my first Great North Run and I loved it! So this year I'm back with friends, Katie, Jayne and Amber, great colleagues and hopefully a minibus!!

Last year I ran for a Meningitis charity in memory of Alison Geldard, a friend with Down's sydrome so this year, for Alison and for my Brother, James, I've chosen to run for Mencap.

Mencap support and value all people with learning disabilities and their carers and families. They work to change laws, challenge predjudice and support people with learning disabilities to live the lives they choose.
