Story

Our beloved Rosarinho (Ross) was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called CADASIL in 2017. Sadly, he passed away on Monday 10th January 2022.

In order to facilitate further research and increase understanding into this rare genetic condition, we have created a fundraising page. This will be in memory of our dearest Ross.

CADASIL (Cerebral Autosomal Dominant Arteriopathy with Sub-cortical Infarcts and Leukoencephalopathy) is an inherited form of cerebrovascular disease that occurs when the thickening of blood vessel walls blocks the flow of blood to the brain.

Our mission is to raise awareness of CADASIL, ensuring it is universally understood by the medical community. This would not only help diagnose patients correctly, but also help save many lives if detected on time.

We would like to support the outstanding work of "Cadasil Together We Have Hope", which seeks to improve education on this disease, promote research, and ultimately find a cure.

Our darling Ross had a zest for life, he was vivacious, had a great sense of humour and above all, a heart filled with generosity, kindness and compassion. He was incredibly devout and never failed to give free-heartedly to those in need. The journey of his life gave us beautiful memories which we will cherish in our hearts forever.

"We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you again in heaven"
