The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £6m we need each year to fund our free care.

Story

So I'm going to run 26.2 miles on 21st April. I've decided to do it to raise money for the Hospice of St Francis in Hertforshire, as I am forever indebted to them for the incredible care they provided to my mum who died of cancer in 2007.

Mum's illness can only be described as a living nightmare but the care, support and treatment provided to all of us by the Hospice was incredible.

I'm going to try and raise £5000 for this cause. If you can help me then not only will you be helping the Hospice continue to care for people like my mum in their final days, but you will also have my eternal love and gratitude.

You can help me by sponsoring any amount, I'm also in the market for running buddies and supporters on the day.

I will do anything to raise this money so if you want to make me work for it I will bake you cakes, walk your dog, take your granny to the pub, wash your car etc. All ideas most welcome

Thanks for reading and if you can help you will make my year
