Story
The transition from school into working and adult life can present a lot of challenges to young disabled people and their families. Garvald offers a safe and supportive environment for adults with disabilities to learn, create, work and socialise. People who come to Garvald workshops can discover and investigate an amazing range of activities, including pottery, stained glass, puppetry, weaving and textiles, and bakery. It is inspiring to see the happiness and fulfilment they provide - as well as the incredible work produced by Garvald members:
It is so important for all of us that charities like Garvald are able to continue the unique and vital work that they do to develop life and work skills, foster wellbeing and confidence.
As the parent of a young disabled adult, I want to show my gratitude to Garvald and to give something back to them. That's why I've enrolled in the Kilt Walk to do the 'Mighty Stride' - a 20 mile walk in Dundee on 20th August.
Thank you for any level of support you feel inspired to give. Every penny will make a real difference to families like mine!
