Story
So, unfortunately due to an injury last year and a dissertation I had to delay my London marathon attempt - I will be running in my dad's memory for Amnesty International on April 26th through the streets of London!
As many of you know, I was not a runner until my dad was sadly diagnosed with advanced cancer in November 2011. An avid and keen runner himself, he had to hang up his running shoes for good and I set myself the goal of taking up the running mantle of the family.
Two years and a bit on and I have completed several half marathons and the Paris Marathon in 2013 for this great charity in honour of my dad.
Since his untimely death on 30th December 2012 we have as a family raised a staggering £5105 so far in his name, which lead him to be named as one of Amnesty Fundraising Heroes in 2013. So thank you for every penny and all your support so far, and please help increase this amount and to remember a wonderful man who fought for justice every day for ordinary people.
So please dig deep, and donate whatever amount if you can!
