Fundraising for Maternity Worldwide
Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and support my bike ride across Malawi for Maternity Worldwide!
Maternity Worldwide are a UK charity whose ultimate vision is to see every woman able to access safe maternity care regardless of where she lives. As a Midwife, I strongly support this cause and having worked in and travelled to maternity units overseas in the past, I have seen first hand how we can improve care for women in developing countries.
The money raised from the Malawi Bike Ride in September 2016 will be used to change childbirth for the better in more ways than one; examples of recent projects include funding a mobile ambulance service which can reach women in remote areas who are unable to access a hospital to give birth and providing desperately needed medical equipment to hospitals and smaller health facilities.
