Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
There are currently 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, suffering from memory loss, confusion, and problems with speech and understanding. But of course the lives of a far greater number of people than that are touched by the tragedy of dementia, and the numbers are set to soar over the next few years. Alzheimer's Disease is the most common form of dementia, and the Alzheimer's Society are there for anyone affected by dementia, and do everything they can to keep people with dementia connected to their lives and the people who matter most.
I'm running in the London2Brighton 100 km (62 mile!) challenge to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. I've wanted to run an ultramarathon for a while, and this one gives me the chance to run home from London! Seems like a good idea to me :)
It's a bit of a way off yet, but I'll be spending the next most-of-a-year trying to raise a bit of money for the Alzheimer's Soc. by busking, doing silly running around Brighton & Hove, selling a few paintings maybe, and just blatantly asking for money as I am here. Give me some money. Please? :)
