Roseanna Croft is raising money for Smart Works Birmingham
Story
This year myself and Roseanna Croft Jewellery have chosen to support Smart Works Birmingham.
It is a charity that provides high quality interview clothing and interview training to unemployed women in need. We all know how terrifying interviews and going for a new job can be. What about if we've been out of work for months or even years due to physical or mental health issues?
The thought of going for that new job can be so paralysing to someone who suffers with anxiety that they simply can't do it. Whether it's because they cannot afford a new interview outfit to look the part or they don't believe in themselves enough to answer the interview questions.
Empowering women to become financially independent is something that I am very passionate about, and why, as well as fundraising, I am also committed to volunteering at Smart Works and using my business experience to help other women excel.
Each client referred to Smart Works Birmingham from a Job Centre or similar has a personalised styling session receiving a complete outfit of clothes and accessories (theirs to keep) followed by one-to-one interview coaching.
The Smart Works service delivery is provided by a team of highly skilled, fully trained volunteers and all stock is donated by other working women or comes direct from retail partners such as Hobbs, Whistles and Evans. They are also supported by brands such as Bobbi Brown and LuLu Guiness.
Please give what you can for this fantastic cause and thank you so much in advance. You have just helped a woman get back into work and given her some of her power back.
