Sean Lock, a "genuine genius" died on 16 August 2021 of lung cancer. He was just 58.

Over the last few days the media has been full of wonderful tributes to him, and clips of his comedy. 

The one that has caught everyone's imagination is Sean Lock's reworking of Judith Kerr's classic children's book 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea'. Sean gave this a refresh so that it would contain two of his favourite things. Tigers and alcohol.

Fans are calling for this book to be published to raise funds for lung cancer. Who knows if this will happen. I therefore thought that if everyone who laughed at Sean Lock's inspired and mad story telling gave something to a lung cancer charity, it would help make a difference, hence this Just Giving page has been set up in Sean's name to raise funds for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. (The also v talented Roy Castle lost his life to lung cancer too).

It would be really nice to raise enough to help fund a PhD research project, so that a peer reviewed paper came out with Sean Lock's name on it. (Wonder what he'd make of that!) But if we only manage to raise £100, it is still £100 towards research and support for those who need it.
