Many of you will be aware of our story already. We started fundraising for Finn in May 2020 and I now feel it is my turn as his mother to do my bit. Finn has many challenges which are outlined on his charity page. In summary… he is nearly 3 but can’t walk, talk, eat solid food and he is visually impaired. He also has no diagnosis and we are still searching for this. His challenges have turned our lives upside down. I have given up my career to become his full time carer and we have had to accept weekly hospital and therapy visits are now our ‘norm’. The impact this has had on our family is immense and we are still finding coping strategies. I have chosen to run with my friend Hayley Rooney, not only to raise funds to allow us to continue to provide therapy and equipment for Finn, but also as a mental focus to enable me to manage my grief for the life I thought I would lead.
