I decided to run the marathon as a way to get fit after the birth of my son and as a personal challenge.

Cots for Tots helps to equip and support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michaels Hospital and supports the Newborn Emergency Stabilisation and Transfer team who work across the South West and South Wales. Part of this support includes providing accommodation in the Cots for Tots House for the families of babies admitted to the unit. Whilst my son was lucky enough not to need any extra support we have close friends whose baby did need this. The ability to stay close by their child at this critical time was invaluable. I hope that by donating to this charity they can continue to provide help to sick babies and their families.
