Story
I’m taking on the Samaritans Walk 60 miles with your dog in April challenge to help prevent suicide through the power of human connection.
Progress with the pup had been very slow but walking locally is something we can do and as a puppy, two miles a day is quite a stretch for three feet and young bones !
Sadly I have lost friends and colleagues to suicide and seen many lives painfully impacted as a result. I have also faced my own demons and can only do this walk because of the assistance recieved by the Samaritans and healthcare professionals who guided me out of the depths.
I’ve included more information about Samaritans and their lifesaving work below.Thank you 💚--------Samaritans is the charity that prevents suicide through the power of human connection. Connecting people in crisis with trained volunteers who will always listen. People calling for change with those who need to listen. People who’ve been there before, with those struggling now.We unite to raise awareness of people’s experiences, create partnerships and campaign for suicide prevention. Together, we make suicide prevention a priority and reach people before it’s too late. In every community, including yours.Every hour. Every day. Every life. If you believe the power of human connection can prevent suicide, join us.Let’s prevent suicide today. Because tomorrow’s too late.
We'd be joyous of any support and pennies for this cause!
