Story
This October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I’ll be walking 100 Miles to raise money for Breast Cancer Now – the UK’s leading breast cancer charity.
During those 31 days, breast cancer will take almost 1,000 lives in the UK.
They are mums and daughters, friends and colleagues. Someone loved. Someone lost.
Breast Cancer Now has a bold vision - that by 2050, everyone affected by breast cancer will live and live well. And every pound raised this October will help fund their life-saving science and life-changing support, so they can make their vision a reality.
Please, please support me!
Everyone taking part will have their own reasons for taking part.
Personally, my life has been touched by breast cancer in so many ways:
My lovely mum, Carmen Orchard, was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2000. She survived for 21 years, sadly passing away with secondary breast cancer in November 2021.
So many of my friends have been diagnosed with breast cancer……many surviving the journey, sadly some have not.
And I am still on my breast cancer journey after being diagnosed in December 2025. 🎀
