Story

I can't believe I am writing this, but on April 21st I will be running (or crawling 😂) the London Marathon!!!

I am running for my amazing Grandad Tony who had prostate cancer for over 12 years and received great treatment from the NHS.

I initially signed up last July when my Grandad was in hospital as I always wanted to do something incredible to show just how much I love him and to thank him for all those amazing years we had where he helped raise me. Sadly, end of August, my wonderful grandad passed away.

A month before he passed away I told him my plans to run the marathon, he said to me 'How are you going to do that?!' I said to him that I am doing it for you. Leading up to his passing we spoke more and more about my running. During one of our last conversations he said to me that I can't just do the marathon for him, that I need to run for myself too.

Whilst my grandad is no longer with us anymore, I know come April 21st he will be with me every step of the way, chuckling at how much I am struggling probably haha.

Thank you so much for your donations <3

If you want to keep track on my progress, I am documenting it over on TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@beingreallyrosie
