Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am so very fortunate not to have any recent heart ache from losing loved ones, or have any close friends or family suffering with poor health to which I would raise money for. I am also very fortunate to have a place on the London marathon thanks to Tag Heuer. Therefore I am running this as a personal challenge and to raise money for Poole hospital, where I work.
For those who know me from old know that I used to spend half my life in a swimming pool and consistently smell of chlorine. This was until I was 15 years old, after a few years out I then went to Uni and couldn't afford a gym membership, so I started running. I couldn't run for more than 2 minutes without stopping and looking like a beetroot. I kept persevering and have ran in some capacity now for 13 years.
My first running event was the great south run and since then have competed in many 10 mile runs, half marathons and 2 full marathons. After the last marathon I said that would be it, but like childbirth, you forget the pain, and do it again!
My personal challenge will be to run this marathon under 4hours, My PB to date is 4:08: so I have my work cut out and training is in full swing. If you would like to help my motivation by donating to my charity then please spare what you can.
With thanks
Rosie (Last marathon I promise) Smiles
