Story
Hi guys,
For the past year, I've been growing my hair as long as possible, largely due to the fact that I've been too busy to go to the hairdressers, courtesy of my masters research project. Now that I've finished in the lab, I feel the time is right for me to chop off as much as possible and donate it to charity. I would completely shave my head, but my skin is so sensitive that I'd end up looking like the offspring of Deadpool and Hellboy and frankly, no one wants to see that. I'm probably going to end up looking like a 12 year old boy anyway, so any money will be worth the laughs at least.
I've chosen to raise money for the Little Princess Trust who will take my hair and turn it into a wig for a child who has lost their hair as a result of their cancer treatments or other illnesses. I've set the goal at £350 so that, as well as making a wig from my hair donation, they'll be able to buy a wig for another cancer patient as well. Two wigs for the price of one, how cool would that be?!
I'm also matching however much YOU raise and donating that out of my own pocket to a charity I'm very passionate about: The Brain Tumour Charity. They fund research into brain tumours, as well as provide support for those affected by these forms of cancer.
I know £350 is quite a big goal (who knew wigs were so expensive?!) but, whether it's a penny or a pound, any donation will be very much appreciated.
If you don't want to donate online, feel free to give me cash and I'll donate on your behalf.
Thanks,
Rosie
