YMCA East Surrey is a diverse and wide reaching charity which supports thousands of local people to live a better life. It houses scores of young people who would otherwise be homeless or at risk, provides key services to young people including nursery care and early interventions, and provides health and well-being services for all abilities and ages in partnership with local agencies  I am proud to be a supporter for many years and recently became a trustee and chair of one of the advisory groups.

I will be joining other fundraisers to cycle to Paris from London, via Redhill. We have a short break to take the night ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe and then head down for a further 135 miles through Northern France. I estimate that this will be a double century ride by the time we arrive at the Eiffel Tower, and I’m intending to complete this within 24 hours of leaving London. My previous longest ride was 120 miles whilst I was training for my Ironman but that was when I was younger and fitter!
