Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Back in March 2020, I had just recovered from 15 months with Plantar Fasciitis which had prevented me from running even the short distances I had been doing. With time available due to lock-down, I decided on my 70th birthday to begin a 12-week half marathon training programme. On 1 May, the players from my beloved Worcestershire CCC began the Rapids Relay and raised over £14,000 for Acorns Children's Hospice. This generous act inspired me to put my training to good use and so I am hoping to add to this figure and provide further funding to a thoroughly worthwhile cause, by running a half marathon in Worcester on Tuesday 29 September. Any size of donation would be greatly appreciated. I completed a 13.1-mile run on Saturday 15 August in 2h 19m 55s so I'll be looking to beat that on 29th. Many thanks for your support.
