May 2018 will be the 5th anniversary of my Mam passing away. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about her, always happy memories, but missed dearly.
I have always wanted to do the Great North Run and remember watching it as a kid thinking "one day". Well that day is coming and in 2018 I will be doing the Lincoln 10k and the Great North Run in memory of my Mam.
I am running for a charity that meant something to her and which provided much needed strength and support to my mam and those around her during those difficult times dealing with cancer. Maggie's Newcastle provided the support needed then and continues to do so for those who need it now. It is only right that I do my bit to support Maggie's and the fantastic work they do.
