Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Seven months ago in May, I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis. At the time, I was unable to walk while also struggling with a multitude of other symptoms. I said to myself at the time that when I was able to do so, I would take on more challenges and raise money for a good cause while I was at it.
So I have decided to challenge myself and run the Glasgow Mens 10K in June while raising money for the MS Society. June will be a year on from starting a 4 weekly IV treatment, which keeps my immune system at bay from further damaging the central nervous system in my brain and spine. Without the research carried out by the MS Society, I may have never been lucky enough to have such an effective treatment, along with many other options which people with MS benefit from each day.
The work the MS Society do is very close to my heart and I would love to give back as I would not be in the position I am in today without them.
Whether I run, walk or crawl, I will be getting over that finish line in June so please donate whatever you can to an amazing cause.
Thank you.
