Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon 2012 · 7 October 2012 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October I'm going to be running the Royal Parks half marathon in London in memory of a very special friend of mine, Mr Alex Lewis.
Alex passed away on the 17th of Feburary 2011 after a long and brave battle with bone cancer. The way he fought it with such a positive attitude was truly inspirational and through the recent TV program, Alex: A life fastforward, he has had a positive influence on millions of peoples lives, which is nothing less than someone as amazing as Alex deserved.
He agreed to make the TV program in order to raise maximum awareness for Bone Cancer which sadly receives no government funding so relies solely upon donations to research this terrible condition and stop anyone else going through what Alex had to.
A group of Alex' friends and family are running this half marathon for BCRT in order to raise the Maximum amount of funds and awareness, all in Alexs name. It's something he would without a doubt love to be involved in himself (especially the party after we finish), so i'm sure he will be helping us along the way.
Any donation you could make would be hugely appreciated by the guys at BCRT, who will fund research projects aimed at helping to improve the survival rate of Bone Cancer, which affects mainly children and teenagers.
Thanks for your support
