Ross's Outlaw Ironman for MND.

Outlaw Iron Man · 26 July 2015 ·
I am raisng money this year for MND because after last years event I met an old school friend Adie Hickling and he inspired me. Talking to Adie helped me put life into perspective in many ways and showed me that life is short and precious and we should all make the most of today & appreciate and use what we have. Many people have said to me that doing an ironman seems impossible. Its not impossible, it just takes effort and dedication but more importantly its a choice to do it. I enjoy it, doing it makes me feel as alive as anything! Adie and others like him inspire me because even in times of such adversity they go through difficulties way more incredible than any ironman event with no choice in the matter & they can still see the joy of life and laugh & smile along the way. If me doing this and enjoying myself whilst I do it can help raise some money to help make MND sufferers lives just that little bit easier or fund research to help cure this disease then thats fantastic as far as I'm concerned.
The page image is of Adie in his younger days before the onset of MND. As well as a great footballer Adie was a body builder and entered competitions. I'm sure if Adie was able now he would still be an active sportsman and possibly doing events just like this one?
