Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
I am taking part in the Cheshire Cat Sportive on 25th March 2018. I have been persuaded (by some "friends") to go for the medium distance which is 130km, around 80 miles. This involves some pretty serious hills so its going to be a real struggle for me, I thought I may as well try and raise some money for Hospice UK to help give me motivation. I do like to get out on my bike when I can but in the past few years the furthest I have cycled is about 30 miles, so this is a big ask. My employer Yorkshire Bank is going to match anything I can raise (up to £1,000) so any donation you make will be doubled.
Hospice's do amazing work and unfortunately I have had personal experience with this. My Mum passed away 6 years ago from cancer and she used the services of the local hospice. They also helped me a lot with counselling when we found out the cancer was terminal.
Anything you can give would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Ross
