In April I'm running the London Marathon for Victoria's Promise which is a charity that helps support young women with cancer. The charity was set up in memory of Victoria, a close friend to Lauren, who lost her battle to cancer in 2014.
The charity is making a real difference to young women being diagnosed with cancer in Hampshire by offering them services beyond their chemotherapy treatment including counselling, specialist oncology massage, funding and sourcing high quality wigs and child care services. Thee charity focuses on ensuring that those who benefit from their services are treated as a person, not just as an illness through the means listed above and by their Women's Network for those undergoing treatment.
Since establishing, Victoria's Promise has come on so far and has already made a difference to many lives however it has a lot of potential to grow and, having met the Trustees, Founders and General Manager of the Charity, I am positive that each donation you make will go a long way to support women throughout their treatment.
