Since obtaining a pilot's licence in 2005, my two main aims were to fly the length of Africa, and to fly around the world. In 2013 I achieved the first goal, supporting a medical charity project through 26 African countries. The experience I had there prompted me to use the second goal, the flight around the world, to further help support a project in Africa. I chose African Promise because I have long admired the work that they do, and the long term, sustainable approach that they take.
I will depart on the 6th May 2019, and the trip is expected to take around a year. The flight is self funded, so your contributions go directly to African Promise.
