Help Support Pregnant Syrian Women And New-Born Babies!

Rouni Sultana is raising money for Islamic Help
In memory of Jannah Abdur-Rahman
Help support the Birth Clinic for Syrian Refugees. This free clinic provides pregnant Syrian women and new-born babies with life saving medical care and urgently needs your support to continue running.

Story

1 year ago, our incredibly precious baby daughter graced us with her presence for a mere 45 minutes. Despite the perfect medical care I received, she was meant to return in this way. But in too many other places in the world, medical care  for pregnant mothers is non existent or inaccessible. For this reason this cause will always be close to our hearts and I am raising funds in memory of our darling Jannah.

Islamic Help set up its Birth Clinic in Jordan to provide everything pregnant Syrian refugees need to help with a safe delivery. With families having fled the ravages of war in their own country, they face numerous hardships as refugees.

The Islamic Help Birth Clinic for Syrian refugee mothers and new-born babies is situated in Jordan. In the past 5 years it has helped to deliver more than 3,670 babies and conducted over 35,000 health checks. This facility is completely free for Syrian refugees thanks to the support of donors and volunteers like yourself.

Since complications are not foreseeable, all expectant mothers need specialist care during giving birth; by way of skilled health professionals, where swift and competent treatment can make the difference between life and death. Alongside this, it is also important to help educate women with the relevant training and skills needed to enable them to intervene and assist in such times of need. A consistent lack of education and knowledge in areas such as maternal and neonatal health, fertility, and healthcare, in general, can have a damaging impact on these women, along with their families. This lack of education and knowledge leads to a significant delay in appropriate healthcare in desperate times of need, such as during the giving of birth. In effect, this then leads to life-threatening complications during delivery which in turn, increases the risk of mortality.
