Story

Thank you so much for supporting my fundraising. My good friend Sarah and I did a 26 mile walk for charity a few years ago. It was a challenge but very rewarding. Since then we've had a lot of life changes, including children, and we're quite a few years older now! Sarah has also battled breast cancer twice so when she asked me to do the Mighty Hike with her I couldn't say no - even though I tried to think of an excuse but none were good enough to not support her on this long walk raising money for such an amazing charity.

So, as such, we are taking part in the South Coast Mighty Hike, walking 26 miles from Brighton to Eastbourne. To be honest I am rather nervous and wondering why I agreed to do this but then I realise the answer is simple. Macmillan is an incredible cause and there are a million reasons why I should endure the sore legs and blisters to raise money for a charity that does such wonderful things. I will be walking with an incredible woman who bravely fought cancer and who is an inspiration. Finally I will be thinking of my brother, Simon, who died in an accident in 2010 and wanted to cycle the South Downs Way to raise money for Parkinsons but never got the chance to do it. I will also be making a personal donation to Parkinsons in his memory.

I would be so grateful for any donations to this wonderful cause. More on Macmillan below:
