Atlantic Rowing Race 2009 · 4 December 2008

10,500 people in the UK have ataxia which is a progressive neurological condition that disrupts the messages sent from our brains to our muscles that are used to move, speak, listen and see. Ataxia UK funds research into finding treatments and a cure and provide support until they are found.

We need to raise approximately £60,000 to make this trip happen and without either Individual Sponsors or Corporate Sponsors this trip wouldn't be possible. If you donate via this justgiving website all of your donation initially goes to Ataxia UK. Ataxia UK then pay the Rowing the Atlantic team 50% of each donation to cover our costs. Once all of our costs are covered all (100%) of every donation goes solely to Ataxia UK. However, should you wish just to donate to Ataxia UK (and not cover RTA's costs) then please state this in the comments field and the RTA team will not be reimbursed 50% of this donation.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Ataxia UK gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

Thanks in advance

Rich, Tom and James
