Update 10-Jun-21 (2 days to go!):    If we have learned anything from the last 18 months is that we need to be flexible and learn to adapt to change.  We were notified today that the Lake we are meant to be Kayaking on has developed some green/blue algae and, on the basis of Health & Safety the organisation team have decided to remove the Kayaking leg and extend the hillwalk by c4Ks instead. :--(

As a team we are disappointed as we thought Kayaking might be a bit more of a laugh than slogging up a hill be it either on foot or, on a bike but, heh-ho it eases the logistics somewhat and less risk of wet bottoms and feet!

We are all raring to go and we look forward to updating you on our attempt in due course.

This is one of these activities where one of your mates gets excited about it, you get caught up in the romance of it and, before you know it you have all signed up!

In fairness, Charles is a medical man.  As nations, we have been more reliant upon our medical services even more than usual with COVID, this feels like an excellent opportunity to give something back.  As a team of 4 we are taking part in this crazy dawn to dusk challenge where we will cycle 30 miles, climb 886 m up Pen Y Fan, cycle 15 miles, Kayak 2 miles then cycle 10 miles to the finish!

With your help, we are determined to make a real difference to children's lives therefore, if you are able to spare a £ or 2, it would be greatly appreciated.
