Story

I am raising money for Prostate Cancer UK in support of my dad. At the age of 71, he went for a routine check despite having no symptoms, and was unexpectedly diagnosed with prostate cancer. It came as a huge shock and brought great sadness to him and our whole family.

To turn that experience into something positive, I have decided to take on a half marathon to raise awareness and funds for this important cause. I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 11 October 2026, covering 13.1 miles through London’s beautiful parks.

Every step I take is for my dad and for the thousands of others affected by prostate cancer. By supporting this challenge, you’ll be helping Prostate Cancer UK continue their vital work in research, support, and early detection.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, affecting 1 in 8, and the risk is even higher for Black men. That’s thousands of dads, brothers, partners, and friends whose lives are impacted—but it doesn’t have to be this way. The money raised will help fund lifesaving research into better tests and treatments, helping men live longer and live well.

If you have a spare £5 to donate it will be much appreciated

Thank you so much for your support.
