Story

Please help me raise as much money as possible to help make the lives of young carers happier. Young carers are unsung heroes, with some running households from as young as 12 years old.  Thousands of young children care for family members instead of playing with friends or learning at school, they take on adult responsibilites out of love, and because they have no choice.

To raise money I have decided to grow my hair for a year and on the anniversary I'll be dying it (paratrooper) red and throwing myself from a perfectly good aeroplane!! HELP! To top it off I will then have all my hair cut off!

This charity has always been close to my heart. My mum was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when I was very young and she began to fall over and struggle to get around our house when I was 8 years old. My brother, Rex and I, were young carers, alongside my dad. It was very difficult to care for a parent at such a young age.

My dad was a paratrooper in the second world war (lying about his age to serve, as he was too young). That is why I've chosen to do a parachute jump.

I am doing the skydive at Skydive Buzz in Dunkeswell on 28 October. Everyone is welcome along to laugh with (or at) me. We'll have a big BBQ to celebrate afterwards.

A huge THANK YOU in advance for anything you can spare!!
