Thank you for taking the time to visit this page on JustGiving!!
This page is fundraising for the Royal School for the Blind in Liverpool.
The Royal School for the Blind in Liverpool is a school and independent charity that caters to students age 2-19 with visual impairment, and other sensory, physical or behavioral disabilities. The School’s mission statement from their site reads: “The Royal School for the Blind strives to promote students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development within an environment of mutual respect and sensitivity. The School provides education of the highest quality whilst valuing all pupils and staff as individuals, worthy of dignity and respect.
Royal School for the Blind takes pride in its happy, caring and stimulating environment.”
The school is always improving and doing neat things for their pupils, and I encourage you all to check out what they’re up to on twitter, as their site is currently under refurbishment.

As you can see, they really care about their kids, and every bit of what we donate goes into providing for them.
Now, a bit about why I am running this fundraiser.
Brian Jacques is the author of the Redwall series, as well as Castaways Of The Flying Dutchman, and several children’s books. He passed away on February 5th, 2011.
He was a man who greatly impacted the lives of many others, those he met, and those who read his writing.
I’ve been running a Redwall blog for several years now, and I’ve heard stories from people who’ve met him, and who have been inspired by him and his work. Redwall fans really have a great community.
I can’t think of a better way to honor the spirit of Redwall and the memory of the man who inspired so many of us than by working to help make a positive impact in the lives of others? The Royal School for the Blind was selected as our charity of choice due to the fact that it is in Liverpool, Mr. Jacques’ hometown, as well as the fact that the first Redwall book was written for the children there when Mr. Jacques worked as a truck driver!
This event will end on July 15th, one month after Mr. Jacques’ birthday.
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my donation page, and thank you as well to those of you who donated!
