Royal School Dungannon FPA President's Charity 2022

Glenn Ferry is raising money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI

RSD FPA President's Charity 2022 · 24 June 2022

Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI researches causes and possible cures of leukaemia and lymphoma in Northern Ireland.

Story

As we all know, it has been a very difficult time for all charities.

As the Royal School Dungannon (RSD) Former Pupils' Association, we want to help in some small way. As an association we will be supporting a specific charity as chosen by the President of the Association and this year it is Leukaemia and Lymphoma NI

I'm very fortunate to have been involved with the RSD FPA over the last few years. I was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2007 and on my first night in Belfast’s City Hospital, I couldn’t believe when a RSD classmate of mine, Rachael Kerr (1991-98) walked through the door to say hello as she was a specialist cancer nurse on the ward. A familiar face can be reassuring.

My friend and fellow Mountjoy/Ranfurly housemate David Montgomery (1992-97) is on the LLNI Board. David is a very active board member and fundraiser for the charity (he’s just returned from completing the Stockholm to raise money for LLNI). David sadly lost his wife Vicki to Leukaemia in 2012

If you can in any small or large way support our nominated charity then that will be very much appreciated.
