Windsor Memory Walk · 21 September 2019 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Last year me and my sister Rosie took part in the Memory Walk for our lovely Nan who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. This year we are doing it all over again! ...but this time with two new lovely team members Freddy and Dan. (Our other halves). See below for our story:

Our Nan was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2017 and continues to find the pressures of every day life very overwhelming. Our Grandad is 92 and cares for her every day which is hard for him but he does it unconditionally.

We want to show our love and support for not only our lovely Nan and Grandad, but to also raise awareness of this cruel disease that affects so many people including carers and family members.

Please donate what you can!
Any amount of money would be really appreciated.

£50

This will help for a PhD researcher to continue research into the causes of dementia, how it can be treated and, ultimately, find a cure.

£100

Could fund the equipment and resources needed for three days of a dementia researcher's vital investigations.

£250

Could teach a group of ten MP's vital information about dementia in a Dementia Friends session in parliament.

£500

Could pay for 700 copies of our new Understanding Your Diagnosis booklets, helping those recently diagnosed with dementia understand more about the condition and how to come to terms with some of the feelings they might be having.

Love Rosie, Sophie, Freddy and Dan
