RSPCA Herefordshire Branch Rosie Appeal · 15 August 2012

The Herefordshire Branch of the RSPCA is dedicated to the welfare of animals in Herefordshire. The Branch was founded in 1923, and celebrated its 100th birthday by encouraging youngsters to learn about how important it is to care for animals. The branch operates as an independent charity and is currently facing major financial challenges due to a reduction in its main income from the charity shop on broad street, Hereford while facing increasing costs including veterinary bills.

Story

Rosie was abandoned outside Holmer Vets in Hereford and is now receiving treatment under the Branch's care.  She was underweight, blind from cataracts, diabetic and had a skin problem.

Despite of all this, she is a very sweet, loving little dog whose tail never stops wagging and she copes very bravely with her health problems.

Rosie recently underwent tests and the surgeon said that her cataracts can be removed and her sight fully restored.  The cost of this will be £3,500.

Rosie is such an inspirational little dog and everyone who comes into contact with her is touched by her story.  We would all love to help her to see again and we are doing everything we can to raise money for her operation, which needs to be done sooner rather than later.

Any surplus funds will be used to help other animals in the county.
