Bhimber Rajani Village School Fundraising Appeal with READ Foundation · 28 March 2022

We are a non-profit organisation working to create school places for children affected by poverty. We have been implementing educational projects since 1994. Today, we have enough places for 112,006 children to gain an education across 390 schools of which 11,341 are orphaned.

Story

In March 2022, we learnt of the need of a primary school in Kashmir, Pakistan to offer opportunities for underprivileged children and orphans.

According to UNICEF, Pakistan has the world's second highest number of out of school children (up to 44% of children aged 5-6 are not attending school). This results in continued deprivation and poverty as these children are unable to lift themselves and their families out of this cycle.

Working with READ Foundation we are planning to build a primary school for 500 children in the Bhimber Rajani Village area in Kashmir. READ Foundation have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining more than 390 schools and supporting 11,341 orphans who achieve some of the best results in this territory.

Each of these schools run on a self-supportive basis and meet their operational expenditure through local resources.

Please kindly donate whatever you can and help us raise the vital funds needed that will contribute towards a construction of a new school complex that will cater for 500 students Inshaa'Allah.

There is no better way than to leave a legacy in your name that the children in the school can benefit with an education for years and years to come.
