Event: Race The Sun: Brecon Beacons 2021, on 12 June 2021
Participants: George Brock, Chris Pike, Alec Gibb
Teams of four will be setting off at sunrise on this Triathlon-style adventure challenge aiming to finish before the sun sets! Teams will cycle, hike and canoe around the breathtaking Brecon Beacons.

Story

We are, as a team raising money by taking on the triple discipline challenge Race the Sun. Starting at the crack of dawn we will be faced with a very hilly (mountainous) and long cycle, followed by a hike up Pen-Y-Fan, South Wales' tallest mountain. Then a second leg in the saddle before a (probably very wet) canoe (or swim). We then have to get back on the bikes and cycling a sprint 10 miles to the long awaited finish! All before the sun sets (hopefully)

We are already training hard but seeing all your incredible donations coming in are motivating us to push even harder through these horrible cold and dark days!

Action Medical Research are the leading UK charity funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that takeaway the childhood of sick and disabled babies, children and young people. As an awesome team of 4, we are taking part in this extremely tough dawn to dusk event where we will cycle, hike and canoe to raise money for this incredible cause. With your help, were determined to make a real difference to all our children's lives.

Thank you everyone!

Rosie, George, Alec & Chris
