I am raising money for Alzheimers Research UK because I believe the research they are doing is vital if a cure is to be found for Alzheimers. I am going to run a 100km ultramarathon called Race to the Castle in June 2021.

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity with £19.8 million put towards research in 2018/19. It is a cause close to my heart and I would love to be able to contribute by raising the funds they so desperately need after a very tough year.

The prevalence of dementia is rising rapidly as there is currently no cure or treatment available to slow its progression. 1 in 3 people born in the UK this year will develop dementia in their lifetime  and by 2025, one million people in the UK will be living with dementia. Research is vital if we are to discover a treatment or cure that will be able to help so many.
