A year ago, a very special boy came into my life. My boyfriend Darren's middle son Ruban has a very rare genetic condition called Syndromic Micropthalmia Type-12. This condition is so rare that Ruban is only the fourth person ever to be registered with it. Ruban’s Wish To Walk - Tree of Hope

Ruban is the true definition of a hero, who is always smiling, and is an inspiration to everyone he meets. 

I am running a half marathon on 13 May to raise money,  so that Ruban can have physio sessions, hydrotherapy sessions and any specialist equipment, so that one day, Ruban is able to walk unassisted, something that most people reading this, take for granted.
