Rubies do Move-Ember

Rubies do Move-Ember · 2 December 2020
As we enter our second lockdown our team Wythenshaw Ravens we Rubies were trying to think of ways to keep our fitness up, so we’d be netball ready at the other side! We thought we could raise some money for charity along the way and so we’ve done our over version of Movember! Netball was thought to be played for the first time Madame Otenburgs college, England in 1895. So in honour of our netball roots we have decided between us that we will walk, cycle, run or move in some way, 1895km during lockdown. We are a 10 player squad so we have to move approximately 8km a day each. Any km from 00.01 on 5th November to 00.01 on 2nd December will count! We know times are hard right now but we would really love any support you could give us to keep us going, even if that is just giving us a little share 😊 Below is a bit from our charity to show you what all this is for.
Rubies xx
Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing a health crisis, yet it’s rarely talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent. We are the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. We know what works for men – and what doesn’t. Prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention – we’re taking them all on.Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, and shaking up men’s health research.
