Story
Hi, thanks for visiting our page.
As many of you know Albert was born early at 36 weeks weighing a teeny 3lb9oz. After birth he was taken straight to the Neonatal Unit at Nottingham City Hospital where he stayed for 2 weeks before coming home.
The care he received in the unit was second to none. No expense was spared to ensure that he came home a healthy baby. We were given a room to stay in on the unit so that we could be with him 24/7. I (Ruby) was able to use equipment that we could never have afforded to make sure he was being fed. And even after we got home staff visited us to make sure he was gaining weight and gave us vital CPR training.
We would like to give back to those who have Albert the best start in life and helped make him the crazy boy he is today!
We will be running the Nottingham 10k on 28th May to raise money for the Neonatal unit to ensure that all babies born early or poorly in Nottingham will continue to receive the same amazing care that Albert did!
UPDATE: We are now also taking part in the 5k Longhorn and Thoresby Hall on 23rd April!
UPDATE: We completed the Longhorn 5k in 31 mins, coming 56th and 60th out of 165! Pretty proud for my first ever race!
We would love to raise £500 but any donation, no matter how small would be appreciated.
Rob & Ruby
