We fund research into childhood cancer to save and improve young lives

Story

At Children with Cancer UK we actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Our vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.

On the 2nd of June I will be taking on the challenge of swimming the length of the channel (22 miles - 1352 lengths - 10-12 hours!) in Reigate Grammar School pool, raising money for Children with Cancer UK. When choosing a charity to support, I thought about COVID and how it has affected me. Through a lot of reflection I came to the conclusion that no matter how covid has affected my life these past few years, I cannot imagine how it has impacted children with cancer. Not only am I now appreciating my health and those around me more but understanding that chances I may have missed out on are likely to come around again, yet children with cancer may never have these opportunities. I have therefore decided to take on this challenge and raise money in the hope that many more children do beat cancer and go on to have as many opportunities in life.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Children with Cancer UK lost 40% of their funding in 2020. Your donation today will give the gift of hope to children facing cancer and help secure the future of our life-saving research.
